Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain radio communication with field personnel during incidents
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Enter and update incident data in real-time systems
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Adhere to all federal, state, and departmental protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to type 35+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Clear diction and exceptional communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Proficient with computer systems and multitasking
- Must be 18+ years old and a US citizen
- No felony convictions (misdemeanors reviewed case-by-case)
