Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units with precise location details
- Maintain radio communication with field units during critical incidents
- Enter and update incident data in real-time databases
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Operate multiple communication channels simultaneously
- Adhere to NENA and APCO standards for emergency protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification (test required)
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Clear speaking voice with strong diction
- U.S. citizenship and valid Wisconsin driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS)
- Must be available for 24/7 rotational shifts
