Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police units, fire services, and medical responders to incidents
- Maintain detailed logs of communications and activities
- Operate radio systems, computer-aided dispatch (CAD), and emergency alerting tools
- Provide critical information to officers and first responders
- Remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
