Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate radio communications during active incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions via emergency medical protocols
- Document all interactions in compliance with NIMS standards
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during multi-jurisdictional responses
- Operate 911 systems and backup communication equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Valid Nebraska driver's license with clean record
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- U.S. citizenship and residency in Nebraska
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
