Responsibilities
- Answer emergency/non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate units
- Operate CAD/RMS systems with precision and confidentiality
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate with multiple agencies (fire, EMS, police)
- Monitor radio channels and maintain situational awareness
- Assist in training new dispatch personnel
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (tested)
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Clear verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and valid Ohio driver's license
- Pass background check, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
- No felony convictions
- Basic computer proficiency
