Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch officers to incidents with precise location details
- Maintain radio communication with field units
- Enter/update incident data in real-time
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention to callers
- Operate NCIC/DMV databases for warrant checks
- Document all communications per department protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (college preferred)
- US citizenship and valid NC driver's license
- Pass background check, polygraph, and drug screen
- Typing minimum 40 WPM (tested during interview)
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle high-stress situations calmly
- Basic computer proficiency
- Must be 18+ years old
