Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Dispatch police officers and emergency services using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate real-time communication during critical incidents
- Execute multi-agency coordination during disasters and high-risk situations
- Document all communications with meticulous detail for legal compliance
- Operate radio equipment and emergency alert systems
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during emergencies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 60 WPM typing certification
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and clean criminal background
- Ability to pass extensive background investigation and polygraph
- Experience in high-stress customer service preferred
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
- Fluency in English/Spanish highly desirable
