Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and urgency
- Dispatch police units using CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and incidents
- Coordinate with multiple agencies during multi-jurisdictional incidents
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during emergencies
- Operate radio equipment and specialized emergency systems
- Adhere to all FCC regulations and department protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Clear speaking voice with neutral American English dialect
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
- U.S. citizenship and residency in Colorado
