Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls and prioritize incidents using CAD systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with precise location and incident details
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and activities
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques to callers
- Operate radio equipment and emergency notification systems
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- U.S. citizenship and residency in Texas
- Strong multi-tasking and decision-making skills
- Experience with computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems preferred
