Responsibilities
- Process 911 and non-emergency calls with precision and empathy
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications
- Coordinate with police, fire, and EMS during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed records and incident documentation
- Apply de-escalation techniques during high-stress situations
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
- Participate in continuous skills development and scenario training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass extensive background investigation and polygraph
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 90% accuracy
- Valid California driver's license
- U.S. citizenship or legal residency status
- No felony convictions or disqualifying misdemeanors
- Clear vision (correctable to 20/20) and normal hearing
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
