Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls and prioritize response protocols
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and radio logs
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via telephone
- Operate radio consoles and emergency communication equipment
- Adhere to NIMS and Pennsylvania emergency management standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license (within 30 days of hire)
- U.S. citizenship and Pennsylvania residency
- Pass background check, polygraph, and drug screening
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Clear diction and calm demeanor under extreme pressure
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
