Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with accuracy and empathy
- Dispatch police, fire, and medical units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide life-saving instructions via phone during critical incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Utilize radio communication protocols for seamless agency collaboration
- Remain calm under extreme pressure during crisis situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows OS, MS Office)
- Must be 21 years of age at time of hire
