Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with empathy and urgency
- Dispatch police units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and documentation
- Coordinate with other emergency services (fire, EMS)
- Provide critical information to officers in the field
- Operate radio communication equipment
- Remain calm during high-pressure situations
- Complete all training modules within 6 months
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to type 35+ WPM (testing required)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Missouri driver's license
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- No felony convictions
