Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation per NIMS protocols
- Provide critical information to first responders during active incidents
- Operate radio equipment and multi-channel communication systems
- Execute crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
- Participate in continuous training drills and scenario simulations
- Collaborate with cross-agency partners during multi-jurisdictional events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid New Jersey driver's license with clean record
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass comprehensive background investigation and polygraph
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer-aided dispatch systems
- Experience in customer service or high-pressure environments
- US citizenship or legal authorization to work in the US
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts including nights/holidays
