Responsibilities
- Process incoming 911 calls and non-emergency inquiries with speed and accuracy
- Coordinate emergency response between law enforcement, fire, and medical units
- Operate computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communications
- Maintain detailed logs and incident documentation following protocols
- Provide critical information to field units during active emergencies
- Utilize multi-agency resources during crisis situations
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain certification standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional listening skills
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with composure
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed of 35+ WPM
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
