Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police/fire/medical units using CAD systems and radio communication
- Maintain accurate incident documentation and digital records
- Provide crisis intervention and critical information to field units
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and specialized emergency equipment
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 35 WPM typing speed (verified assessment required)
- Ability to remain calm during high-stress emergency situations
- Strong verbal/written communication skills in English
- Basic computer proficiency with ability to learn complex software
- Must pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends/holidays
