Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and business lines
- Dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate radio communications with field personnel
- Input and maintain detailed incident reports in law enforcement databases
- Provide critical information to officers during active incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Train on emergency protocols and crisis management procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (verified certificate required)
- Clear background check and drug-free certification
- Basic computer literacy with ability to learn complex systems
- Ability to remain calm and make decisions under extreme pressure
- Valid California driver's license
- Fluency in English and Spanish (bilingual candidates preferred)
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence offenses
