Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via phone, radio, and digital channels
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and mapping tools for real-time incident tracking
- Coordinate with police, fire, EMS, and other agencies during critical incidents
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions and crisis intervention to callers
- Maintain accurate call logs and documentation per NIMS standards
- Participate in continuous training on new protocols and technology
- Adhere to HIPAA/FERPA compliance for sensitive information handling
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Minimum 40 WPM typing proficiency with 95% accuracy
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
- Exceptional communication skills under high-pressure conditions
- Experience with multi-tasking in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer literacy and technical aptitude
- Must be US citizen or authorized to work in the US
- No felony convictions or domestic violence restraining orders
