Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police units using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate radio communication with field officers and emergency services
- Enter and update critical incident data in real-time databases
- Provide life-saving instructions to callers during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate and troubleshoot emergency communication equipment
- Adhere to all NJ state and departmental protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid New Jersey driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Exceptional multitasking and stress management skills
- Clear speaking voice and strong communication abilities
- Basic computer proficiency (Windows, CAD systems)
- Must be 18+ years old and US citizen
