Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate law enforcement units
- Operate radio systems and maintain accurate communication logs
- Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) software for real-time tracking
- Provide critical information to first responders during emergencies
- Remain calm under pressure while handling high-stress situations
- Coordinate with other agencies and public safety departments
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Clear verbal communication abilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- U.S. citizenship and Ohio residency required
