Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
- Monitor and operate multi-channel radio systems and telephone lines.
- Enter and update incident information into the Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system accurately and efficiently.
- Coordinate and communicate with law enforcement officers, fire personnel, and emergency medical services in the field.
- Maintain a calm demeanor and provide clear, concise instructions during high-stress incidents.
- Verify and disseminate information to the public and law enforcement agencies.
- Perform regular checks of equipment and radio logs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident status required.
- Valid Arizona Class D Driverβs License required.
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation and medical examination.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to type at least 40 words per minute.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under extreme pressure.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new software.
