Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police units with precise location and incident details
- Maintain constant radio communication with field units
- Perform multi-tasking during high-pressure situations
- Document incident reports with accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate with fire, EMS, and other city agencies
- Operate specialized emergency equipment
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be 18+ years old and US citizen
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM
- Clear speaking voice and excellent hearing
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency
- No felony convictions
