Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate radio communications during critical incidents
- Enter and update case information in law enforcement databases
- Provide crisis intervention and life-saving instructions to callers
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major emergencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check
- Valid Indiana driver's license
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Clear speaking voice with excellent diction
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- U.S. citizenship and Indiana residency required
- No felony convictions
