Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911, radio, and digital channels
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with precise location and incident details
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation in CAD systems
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Operate radio consoles, telephones, and emergency alert systems
- Remain composed during high-pressure situations and prioritize life-threatening calls
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum age 18 years old
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM (verified assessment required)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Colorado driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and psychological evaluation
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
- Clear speaking voice and exceptional communication skills
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
