Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS units using CAD/RADAR systems
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all communications and incidents
- Operate radio equipment and multi-line telephone systems during high-pressure situations
- Provide critical information to officers and first responders in real-time
- Monitor alarm systems and CCTV feeds for public safety threats
- Coordinate with other agencies during multi-jurisdictional emergencies
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college preferred)
- Valid Florida Driver's License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 40 WPM typing certification (or test during application)
- U.S. citizenship and clean criminal background
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong multitasking and decision-making skills under stress
- Basic computer literacy with willingness to learn specialized software
- Fluency in English (Spanish proficiency highly valued)
