Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and administrative lines
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems with precision and urgency
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide critical information to officers and first responders
- Operate radio systems and communication equipment per protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills (35+ WPM preferred)
- Exceptional communication and active listening abilities
- Calm demeanor under high-pressure emergency situations
- U.S. citizenship and valid Michigan driver's license
