Responsibilities
- Process 911 emergency calls and non-emergency dispatch requests with precision
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities in CAD/RMS systems
- Provide clear, calm instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Coordinate resources during major events and disasters
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies across multiple jurisdictions
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and procedural protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Valid Texas Driver's License at time of hire
- Pass criminal background check and polygraph examination
- Type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy (tested during application)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Fluency in English/Spanish (bilingual certification preferred)
- No history of drug-related felony convictions
- U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
