Responsibilities
- Operate multi-channel radio systems and emergency communication equipment
- Process 911 calls and prioritize dispatch of police, fire, and EMS units
- Maintain accurate records in CAD systems and incident databases
- Provide critical information to officers in the field during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Utilize mapping software and GPS tracking for efficient resource deployment
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and polygraph examination
- Clear speaking voice with excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure during critical incidents
- Basic computer proficiency and typing speed of 40+ WPM
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanor offenses
