Responsibilities
- Process 911 calls with exceptional accuracy and empathy
- Operate CAD/RMS systems to dispatch emergency units
- Coordinate with fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation
- Implement de-escalation techniques during crisis calls
- Conduct radio communications per FCC regulations
- Assist in training new dispatchers upon certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
- Experience in customer service or high-pressure environments
- Basic computer proficiency with Windows OS
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- US citizenship or legal resident status
