Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with precise location details
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate radio equipment during critical incidents
- Provide crisis intervention and caller de-escalation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
- Mentor new trainees during onboarding phase
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- U.S. citizenship and minimum 18 years old
- Pass criminal background check and drug screening
- Ability to type 35+ WPM
- Strong multitasking and situational awareness skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/holidays
- Basic computer proficiency
