Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems
- Maintain accurate radio communication with field units and external agencies
- Perform multi-tasking during high-pressure situations requiring calm judgment
- Document call details and incident reports with precision and confidentiality
- Utilize mapping technology to provide critical location information
- Coordinate with fire, medical, and law enforcement agencies
- Adhere to strict protocols for crisis intervention and de-escalation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Valid Nevada driver's license
- Pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience with multi-line phone systems preferred
