Responsibilities
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate law enforcement units
- Receive, prioritize, and dispatch emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate logs of all communications and incident details
- Provide clear, concise information to callers and field units during critical incidents
- Collaborate with other emergency services (EMS, Fire) for coordinated responses
- Participate in continuous training drills and scenario simulations
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be 18+ years old and authorized to work in the US
- No prior dispatch experience required – training provided
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency (typing test required post-hire)
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Must obtain Oklahoma Emergency Number Professional certification within 12 months
