Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police units using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate radio communications with field personnel during critical incidents
- Input and update sensitive incident data in law enforcement databases
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergency situations
- Provide crisis intervention and information to callers in high-stress scenarios
- Adhere to all NIMS protocols and departmental procedures
- Complete all required training modules within designated timeframe
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Driver's License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to type 40 WPM with 90% accuracy
- Basic computer literacy and data entry proficiency
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm during high-pressure situations
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
