Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency 911 calls with exceptional composure
- Dispatch police units using CAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) systems
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Provide clear instructions to callers until help arrives
- Operate radio communication equipment and emergency alert systems
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 90% accuracy
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- No prior felony convictions
