Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls, prioritize incidents, and dispatch appropriate police/fire/EMS resources
- Operate Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems and radio communication equipment
- Maintain detailed incident logs and documentation per department protocols
- Provide critical pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Monitor surveillance feeds and alert patrol units to suspicious activities
- Adhere to strict confidentiality policies and ethical standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to pass background check, polygraph, and psychological evaluation
- Experience in customer service, crisis management, or public safety
- Proficiency with computer systems and multitasking under pressure
- Fluency in English; bilingual skills in Spanish/Chinese/Mandarin highly desirable
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
