Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate personnel (police, fire, EMS) using CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate real-time incident logs and status updates for all field units
- Provide critical pre-arrival medical instructions via phone during emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents and disasters
- Operate radio equipment and maintain secure communication channels
- Perform data entry and report generation for daily operations
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols and HIPAA compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid California Driver's License
- Ability to pass extensive background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Clear speaking voice with excellent diction (English proficiency required)
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure during critical incidents
- No felony convictions or domestic violence restraining orders
