Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls with precision
- Dispatch police units and emergency services using CAD systems
- Maintain constant communication with officers during critical incidents
- Enter and update information in real-time databases
- Provide critical guidance to callers during emergency situations
- Operate radio, telephone, and alarm systems efficiently
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM (verified test required)
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Clear verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to multitask in high-stress environments
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Must be 18+ years old and a U.S. citizen
