Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate resources
- Operate multi-line telephone systems and radio equipment
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Provide critical information to first responders during emergencies
- Utilize CAD systems for tracking and reporting
- Remain calm under pressure during crisis situations
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures
- Participate in ongoing training and certification programs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and valid Alaska driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Strong communication and multitasking abilities
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- No felony convictions
