Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems with 100% accuracy
- Dispatch police units using radio communication protocols during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities in compliance with state regulations
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical emergencies
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents and disasters
- Operate NCIC and state criminal justice databases for warrant checks
- Perform post-incident documentation and report generation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Valid Tennessee driver's license at time of hire
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass comprehensive background check
- Successful completion of psychological and polygraph examinations
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Clear speaking voice with strong diction and comprehension skills
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
