Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD systems
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units with precise location and incident details
- Monitor radio communications and maintain accurate logs
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during emergencies
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incidents
- Utilize NCIC databases for warrant/background checks
- Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism in all communications
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior dispatch experience necessary (training provided)
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with high accuracy
- Exceptional communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Proficient in basic computer applications
- Valid Nevada driver's license
- Must pass background check and drug screening
