Responsibilities
- Process incoming 911 calls and dispatch appropriate emergency services
- Operate radio communication systems for police, fire, and EMS units
- Maintain accurate logs of all emergency incidents and communications
- Provide critical information to first responders during active incidents
- Utilize CAD systems to track unit locations and incident status
- Remain calm under high-pressure emergency situations
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during major incidents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Strong typing skills (minimum 40 WPM)
- Excellent communication and active listening abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- U.S. citizenship and valid Indiana driver's license
- No felony convictions or misdemeanor domestic violence charges
