Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police, fire, and EMS units using CAD systems
- Provide life-saving instructions during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Operate radio systems and specialized communication equipment
- Remain calm under pressure during high-stress situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Pass background check and polygraph examination
- Successfully complete dispatcher training academy
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Clear verbal communication in high-pressure scenarios
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license
- No felony convictions
