Responsibilities
- Process emergency calls and dispatch appropriate police units using CAD systems
- Maintain accurate radio communication with field units during active incidents
- Enter and update critical information in law enforcement databases
- Coordinate with other agencies (EMS, Fire) during multi-incident responses
- Remain calm under extreme pressure while making split-second decisions
- Document all interactions and incident reports with precision
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (college degree preferred)
- US citizenship and valid Texas driver's license
- Exceptional communication and multitasking abilities
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- No criminal history (felony convictions disqualify)
- Must be available for rotating 24/7 shifts
