Responsibilities
- Answer and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls with calm professionalism
- Operate CAD systems and radio communications to coordinate police/fire/EMS responses
- Enter and maintain accurate incident data in department databases
- Provide pre-arrival medical instructions via EMD protocols
- Multi-task during high-pressure situations while maintaining situational awareness
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and medical agencies
- Complete mandatory training modules and certification requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Alaska driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and psychological evaluation
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Strong multi-tasking and conflict resolution skills
