Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with exceptional situational awareness
- Operate multi-channel radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Enter and update critical information in CAD/RMS systems with precision
- Maintain detailed incident documentation and follow established protocols
- Provide clear, concise instructions to callers during emergencies
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams during critical incidents
- Complete certification requirements within the training period
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to pass NCIC certification and background check
- Proficient in typing (40+ WPM) and computer literacy
- Exceptional communication and multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm under high-pressure situations
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- No felony convictions or disqualifying criminal history
- Must be available for flexible rotating shifts
