Responsibilities
- Process emergency/non-emergency calls using CAD/RMS systems
- Dispatch police units efficiently during critical incidents
- Maintain accurate radio logs and incident documentation
- Coordinate multi-agency responses (fire, EMS, etc.)
- Operate 911 infrastructure and backup systems
- Adhere to NIMS protocols during crisis situations
- Train on specialized equipment including EMD software
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to type 40+ WPM (tested during application)
- Clear criminal background and drug-free record
- US citizenship or legal resident status
- Pass hearing/vision requirements per PA standards
- Basic computer literacy (Windows OS)
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license
