Responsibilities
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
- Operate radio systems to coordinate police, fire, and EMS responses
- Enter and update critical information in CAD/RMS systems
- Maintain accurate logs of all communications and incidents
- Provide clear instructions to callers during emergency situations
- Collaborate with law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel
- Adhere to departmental policies and confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- U.S. citizenship or legal resident status
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Clear speaking voice and excellent communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency and typing ability (30+ WPM)
- No felony convictions and clean driving record
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
