Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls for police services
- Accurately document incident details using CAD systems
- Dispatch appropriate personnel and resources to emergency scenes
- Maintain radio communication with officers in the field
- Provide critical information to first responders during emergencies
- Operate communication equipment following strict protocols
- Multi-task efficiently during high-pressure situations
- Complete detailed incident reports and documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- U.S. citizenship and valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to pass background check and polygraph examination
- Typing speed of 40+ WPM with accuracy
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
- Basic computer proficiency
- No felony convictions or serious misdemeanors
