Responsibilities
- Process 911/emergency calls with speed and accuracy
- Dispatch police/fire/EMS units via radio/computer systems
- Maintain detailed call logs and incident documentation
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation support
- Operate CAD/RMS systems and mapping software
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during critical incidents
- Train on departmental protocols and emergency procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Basic computer literacy and typing (40+ WPM)
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Clear communication and active listening skills
- Valid California driver's license
- Pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- No felony convictions
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
