Responsibilities
- Receive and prioritize emergency/non-emergency calls via 911 and business lines
- Dispatch police units using CAD systems while maintaining radio communications
- Enter and update critical information in law enforcement databases
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during medical/trauma incidents
- Coordinate multi-agency responses during emergencies
- Maintain accurate call logs and incident documentation
- Operate multiple communication systems under pressure
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- US citizenship and valid Arizona driver's license
- Pass background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Ability to type 40+ WPM with 95% accuracy
- Exceptional multi-tasking and stress management skills
- Clear diction and ability to speak multiple languages (Spanish preferred)
- Must pass POST-approved dispatcher training academy
